RENO, Nev (June 14, 2021) — The Reno Rodeo is back in the saddle again! And it’s the first major Northern Nevada event to be held after last year’s cancellations due to restrictions on public gatherings prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year marks the 102nd-year celebration of the Reno Rodeo and visitors can expect to see bronc riding, barrel racing, bull riding and more. The event, sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association, will take place June 17-26. With 10 exciting nights of rodeo competition, the Reno Rodeo is one of the premier stops on the Pro Rodeo Tour. The action isn’t just in the competition, however; there’s also a full carnival, the Double R Marketplace, day events (many are free), a food court, the Jack tent and much more.

Here’s what you need to know if you plan on attending this year’s Reno Rodeo:

Mobile Tickets
The Reno Rodeo has moved to mobile ticketing! If you purchased your tickets online, you’ll want to download your tickets to your mobile device before you get to the rodeo grounds. Instructions can be found at renorodeo.com/shop/tickets/.

2020 Tickets Rolled over to 2021
If you submitted a rollover form, you should have received an email with mobile tickets for 2021. If took no action in 2020, your tickets were automatically rolled over, but you need to go to the Reno Rodeo Ticket Office at the Livestock Events Center to receive new tickets.

Free Parking/Shuttle from Grand Sierra Resort
There is some public parking on the Reno Rodeo Grounds, but those in the know avoid the hassle (and the $15 fee) and take advantage of the free shuttle. Reno Rodeo in conjunction with the Grand Sierra Resort will be providing free parking within the hotel parking lot with a free shuttle to the rodeo grounds, including the night of the Reno Rodeo Kickoff Concert. The free GSR parking and shuttle will be available daily June 16–26 from 4:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m.
