RENO, Nev. (May 28, 2026) – The Reno Rodeo is adding new arena entertainment, expanded fan discounts and a new equestrian event to the lineup for the 2026 Reno Rodeo, taking place June 18–27 at the Nevada State Fairgrounds.
Known as the “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West,” the Reno Rodeo will once again bring 10 nights of PRCA action to Northern Nevada, along with a full slate of entertainment and family-friendly experiences. New this year, fans can look forward to the debut of the Double Dip Horse Show, Justin Rumford’s first appearance at the Reno Rodeo, a new specialty act from Summer & Company and expanded opportunities to purchase discounted carnival wristbands in advance.
“The Reno Rodeo has always been about delivering an experience that goes beyond what happens in the arena,” said George Combs, general manager of the Reno Rodeo Association. “From world-class rodeo athletes to new entertainment, family activities and community events, there is something for fans of all ages to enjoy throughout the 10 days.”

Doc Bar Adds New Themed Activations
Doc Bar Speakeasy will expand its lineup this year with new themed activations inside the indoor arena, giving fans more ways to experience the Reno Rodeo beyond the nightly arena action. The VIP space offers a speakeasy-style setting with appetizers, exclusive drinks, comfortable seating and views of the nightly viewing party.
New this year, Doc Bar will host a Father’s Day Brunch on Sunday, June 21, with a family-friendly brunch experience celebrating dads Reno Rodeo-style. The lineup also includes Trivia Tuesday on June 23, featuring questions tied to Americana, Nevada history, PRCA rodeo and Reno Rodeo traditions, and Wolf Pack Wednesday on June 24, inviting Nevada fans to bring the silver and blue to rodeo night.

Double Dip Horse Show Debuts at Reno Rodeo
The Double Dip Horse Show will make its Reno Rodeo debut June 24–27 in the indoor arena. Free to attend, the annual, multi-day horse show is co-hosted with AJA Equine and begins at noon each day.
The show features Sierra Nevada Horse Show Association-approved classes, special stake money classes and an ice cream social, giving local riders a major points-earning opportunity ahead of the season finale. Combined results from AJA Equine and Pair of Aces Stables often include hunter team challenges and Division Champion and Reserve Champion titles, creating a competitive but welcoming environment for riders and spectators alike.
Justin Rumford Makes First Reno Rodeo Appearance
Award-winning rodeo entertainer Justin Rumford will make his first appearance at the Reno Rodeo this year, bringing his signature humor and quick wit to the arena June 18–22. Known throughout the rodeo world as “Rumps,” Rumford is one of the sport’s most recognizable entertainers and has earned multiple PRCA Clown of the Year honors.
Matt Merritt, another fan-favorite rodeo entertainer, will take over June 23–27, keeping the energy high for the second half of the rodeo.
Summer & Company Joins the Entertainment Lineup
Summer & Company will make its Reno Rodeo debut as this year’s new specialty act, bringing fast-paced trick and Roman riding to the arena. Led by Summer and featuring her daughters, Emmie and Jinsen, the mother-daughter trio blends horsemanship, athleticism and showmanship in a family-friendly performance designed to keep fans engaged between rodeo events.
Summer brings more than 13 years of specialty act experience, while Emmie and Jinsen have been performing since they were 4 years old and are among the youngest trick and Roman riders in the PRCA. Together, they carry forward the tradition of trick and fancy riding while introducing it to a new generation of rodeo fans.
Discounted Carnival Wristbands Available at Grocery Outlet and Nevada State Bank
Fans can save on carnival fun this year with discounted carnival wristbands available in advance at all Grocery Outlet and Nevada State Bank locations. Grocery Outlet is a new discount wristband partner for 2026, joining Nevada State Bank in making it easier for families to enjoy one of the Reno Rodeo’s most popular attractions.
The carnival is open throughout the Reno Rodeo and features rides, games and classic fair-style food for fans of all ages.
