RENO, Nev. (Nov. 18, 2025) – The Reno Rodeo, known as the “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West,” is calling on community members to join the legacy. Applications are now open for Wranglers, the dedicated volunteers who help make the century-old event one of the largest outdoor rodeos in the world.

Established in 1919, the Reno Rodeo Association is powered by nearly 1,000 volunteers working across more than 50 committees each year. Wranglers play an essential role in every aspect of the event — from behind-the-scenes logistics to fan-facing hospitality — ensuring a memorable experience for contestants and spectators alike.

“Wranglers are the heart and soul of the Reno Rodeo,” said Mark Sutton, 2026 Reno Rodeo President. “Their dedication and enthusiasm are what bring this incredible event to life every year.”

Those interested in volunteering can complete a Wrangler Application and submit it to the Reno Rodeo office along with a copy of their ID and a one-time $25 application fee. Wranglers are asked to volunteer a minimum of 32 hours per year for two consecutive years to be considered for membership within the Reno Rodeo Association.
