Hopeful Singers Compete for Invitation to Sing the National Anthem at the 2017 Reno Rodeo.

RENO, Nev. (April 26, 2017)—The top 12 finalists and last year’s winner will take the stage at the Nugget Casino Resort Celebrity Showroom Thursday, April 27 at 7 p.m. for the final round of the Reno Rodeo’s third annual “Rodeo Idol” contest.

During the first phase of the competition, contestants submitted videos of them singing the National Anthem. With more than $2 million in prize money up for grabs, top professional cowboys and cowgirls will come to town June 15-24, 2017 to compete in the 98th annual Reno Rodeo, known across the country as the “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West.”
