RENO, Nev., (November 27, 2017) – In an effort to commemorate the upcoming 100th anniversary of the Reno Rodeo and help raise funds for the Legacy project, the Reno Rodeo Association is minting a commemorative coin in a limited release of 2,000 pieces at the historic Carson City mint for the CC strike. The coin will sell for $100 and be available for purchase at the renorodeo.com web store.

2019 Reno Rodeo President, Mike Torvinen, will be in Carson City to participate in the historic first pressing on the commemorative coin on Nov. 27.

“The Carson City mint celebrates its 150th anniversary this next year and we are excited to be partnering with them for this first large-scale striking of the newly refurbished press,” said Torvinen. “All of us at the Reno Rodeo Association hope you will join us in preparing for our future and take home a piece of history while it is available.”
