RENO RODEO ASSOCIATION TO PRESENT CHECK FOR NEARLY $160,000, UNVEIL 2016 OFFICIAL POSTER

RENO, Nev. (April 19, 2016) – Thanks to proceeds from the 2015 rodeo, the Reno Rodeo Association is presenting a check to the Reno Rodeo Foundation for $159,663. The check will be presented during the Reno Rodeo Association luncheon where the 2016 Reno Rodeo limited edition poster will also be unveiled.

WHEN: Thursday, April 21 during the Reno Rodeo Membership Luncheon from noon to 1:30 p.m. Check presented at approximately 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: Grand Sierra Resort, 2500 E 2nd St in the Silver State Room.

WHO: 2015 Reno Rodeo Association President Larry Stacy will present the check to Reno Rodeo Foundation Executive Director Clara Andriola and Reno Rodeo Foundation President Mark Elston.

WHY: Formed in 1986, the Reno Rodeo Foundation has been making a difference to children and families in Northern Nevada for over 25 years. Started as a private foundation with the sole purpose of distributing the proceeds from the annual Reno Rodeo through scholarships and community grants, the Reno Rodeo Foundation is now a 501 (c) (3) public charity offering a much broader range of support to those in need in our community. The mission of the Reno Rodeo Foundation is to enhance and enrich the lives of northern Nevada families by aiding children with extraordinary needs, building community partnerships, and providing scholarships to the University of Nevada, Reno.
