RENO, Nev. (May 18, 2023) — The Buckin’ Good Time at the Reno Rodeo doesn’t end with the highly-anticipated PRCA and WPRA competitions. From family-friendly entertainment at the carnival to western-themed retail therapy at Double R Marketplace to country-style parties at the Jack Daniel’s Tent, rodeo fans can still experience “The Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West” without a ticket for the evening performances.

Reno Rodeo Tailgate Party

Join the Reno Rodeo for its first ever Tailgate Party! The fun kicks off on Friday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a cornhole tournament at the Reno Livestock Events Center Indoor Arena. Entry fee is $100 with prizes including a Montana Silversmith Buckle, a set of Reno Rodeo cornhole boards and more.

The party continues on Saturday, June 24 starting at 10 a.m.. with the inaugural Reno Rodeo fashion show. Head to the Double R Marketplace to watch models show off the latest western styles. Fans looking for a VIP experience can pay $40 for a front row seat with complimentary mimosas and snacks. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door or can be purchased here.

In addition to the cornhole tournament and fashion show action, there will be plenty of shopping at the Double R Marketplace, live music, line dancing lessons, finals night stock drawings and much more.

Carnival  

With a variety of games and exhilarating rides rivaling the excitement of the evening performances, the carnival is the perfect stop for adrenaline seekers. Soak in all the carnival fun from Wednesday, June 14 to Saturday, June 24 from 4 p.m. to close on weekdays and 12 p.m. to close on weekends. Purchase a wristband in advance for $32 or snag one for $40 same day. Individual ride tickets are also available for $6. Plus, take advantage of special deals during “Family Day” on Monday, June 19 and “Buddy Day” on Wednesday, June 21.

The carnival grounds at the Reno Livestock Events Center will also feature an assortment of food stands with classic carnival fare like corn dogs, funnel cake and lemonade or all-American grub like mouthwatering barbeque, Texas Taters and the famous Kick-Ass fries — hand cut fries topped with pulled pork, cheddar cheese, sour cream, green onions and smothered in barbecue sauce.

Double R Marketplace

Everyone is invited to “The Biggest Little Shopping Adventure in the West.” With over 100 vendors, the Double R Marketplace is open every day during the Reno Rodeo at the Livestock Events Center Indoor Arena and South Exhibit Hall. Dozens of vendors will gather to showcase their western lifestyle products and services. From western attire to home decor to tasty treats, the Double R Marketplace has everything a cowboy, cowgirl or visitor could need. Hours of operation vary. The Double R Marketplace opens Thursday, June 15 and will remain open daily through Saturday, June 24.

Branding Room

The Branding Room offers an exclusive dining and entertainment experience at the Reno Rodeo. Enjoy free VIP parking, a delicious meal catered by Famous Dave’s, an open bar and great group seating for the evening’s rodeo performance. There will be fun photo opportunities and live country music to get you in the mood for a buckin’ good time. This exclusive space will be open from 5 to 7 p.m. every night of the rodeo. Pricing starts at $150 per person.

Coors Double R Bar

Those unable to catch the evening performances can still celebrate rodeo season with cold drinks and country music at this popular watering hole. Located on the south end of the food court behind grandstand three, the Coors Double R Bar offers is open from 4 p.m. to midnight nightly. Guests must be 21 years or older.

Jack Daniel’s Tent

Party all evening at this rodeo hotspot featuring a full bar and plenty of room to do-si-do. Most of the action kicks off after the rodeo, but the bar is open from 4 p.m. to midnight nightly. Guests must be 21 years or older.
