Rodeo Idol

Reno Rodeo’s fan-favorite “Rodeo Idol” contest is back, offering aspiring singers of all ages an opportunity to showcase their talent and perform the national anthem in the arena during one night of the “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West.” Contestants can submit a video audition of their rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” for a chance to be selected as an official anthem singer at the 2025 Reno Rodeo, taking place June 19–28, at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center.

How to Enter
Contestants must submit a YouTube or Vimeo link of themselves performing the National Anthem to [email protected] along with the following:
  • A short bio (80–120 words) highlighting their musical background, achievements and fun personal facts such as current education, job or career aspirations.
  • A headshot for promotional purposes.
Submission & Selection Process
  • Deadline for submissions: April 13
  • Finalists announced: April 30

Selected winners will be given the opportunity to sing the National Anthem live before a packed crowd at one of the 10 thrilling nights of the Reno Rodeo.

This is a unique chance to take center stage at one of the most anticipated events in Northern Nevada, where thousands of rodeo fans gather each night to celebrate the sport of rodeo, Western heritage and community spirit. Past winners have included talented local artists, choir members and aspiring professional singers who have gone on to perform at various regional events.
