RENO RODEO QUEEN CLINIC SET FOR JANUARY 26-27
Interested Miss Reno Rodeo Candidates Can Learn All About What it Takes to be a Rodeo Queen at this Two-Day Clinic

RENO, Nev. (Jan. 9, 2019) – The Reno Rodeo is looking for Miss Reno Rodeo candidates who have a love for horses and rodeo culture and want to travel while serving as a goodwill ambassador to the “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West.” Those interested are encouraged to attend the Miss Reno Rodeo Queen Clinic, January 26 and 27 at Rancharrah.

“I found the clinic very helpful in my personal growth, enabling me to move through the process with confidence and a deep respect for the past and future of the program,” said Miss Reno Rodeo 2019, Kaely Juzek.

Head clinician of the event, Lisa Lageschaar, Miss Rodeo America 2017, will be covering topics such as modeling appearance, impromptu and prepared speeches, horse science, advanced horseback, title expectations and more.

Lageschaar, from Pickton, Texas, was crowned Miss Rodeo America 2017 at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas after a week-long competition during the 2016 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Not only does she teach the importance of agriculture but also strives to impart values like hard work and integrity.

Miss Reno Rodeo must be poised and elegant, but not afraid to get her boots dirty. During her reign, she will travel throughout the region representing the Reno Rodeo while leading programs such as the Reno Rodeo Reading Roundup. She gets to use her influence as Miss Reno Rodeo to visit at-risk elementary schools, providing books to young students and giving them lessons on the three R’s: reading, rodeo and responsibility. She also gets to travel to rodeos and events across the region.

Cost for clinic admission is $200 and is open to young ladies age 15-25. For the application and additional information, please email [email protected], call (775) 742-2914, or check out the Miss Reno Rodeo Facebook page.
